Color Block Bag

The Color Block bag is a felted bag knit in garter stitch. The front and back of these bags are knit in four sections. Color changes are made in the first section. The front and back are then joined with a gusset. An edging is then applied to the top and the strap is knit. Many different color combinations could be knit. The directions for this worsted weight bag show the color changes as pictured.

Yarn: Worsted weight yarn that will felt. Do not mix different brands of yarn as they may not felt at the same rates

Tall bag used 216 yards for color A, 216 yards for color B and 260 yards for color C (gusset and handles)

Medium bag used 190 yards for color A, 190 yards for color B, and 216 yards for color C

Small bag used 190 yards for color A, 190 yards for color B, and 190 yards for color C

Needles: 24" long circular needles in size 10.5US. Double point needles size 10.5US

Finished measurements:Tall bag is 12.5" high, 11.5" wide. Medium bag is 9" high, 11.5" wide. Small bag is 6" high and 11.5" wide.
