Siberian Winter

Both the square shawl and the stole in this pattern are constructed with traditional Russian shawl techniques in mind. It is not meant to be an exact replica but, rather, a simpler interpretation of these magnificent shawls. Knit these shawls from a graph or written instructions in lace weight wool yarn.

Yarn:  Shawl used 1800 yards of lace weight yarn. Stole used 1400 yards of lace weight yarn.

Needles: Size 6US, 24" long circular

Finished size: Shawl is 56" square after blocking. Stole is 28" x 66" after blocking
