Matinee Shrug

Just the garment to wear over a sleeveless or strapless dress.The Matinee Shrug begins at the center back on double point needles (changing to circular needles) until a square is made. The sleeves are picked up on each side and knit down. Finally a small border is worked all the way around to pull it all together. This shrug works up quickly in light worsted weight yarn or DK weight yarn.

Yarn: 550 yards of light worsted or DK weight yarn. Sample used 3 skeins of Cotton Fleece (215 yards/100g skein)

Needles: Choose a needle one or two sizes larger than the yarn label recommends. Sample knit with size 8US. Double points, 16" long and 24" long circular needles

Finished size: 36" from cuff to cuff. Back depth is 18"
