Oval Bottom Handbag

Both versions of this purse begin with the same football-shaped base. Two choices are given for shaping the top edge of the bag. Straps can be knitted and felted or purchased. Instructions for adding grommets after felting to use with a purchased chain strap are included.

Yarn: Worsted weight wool yarn that will shrink when washed. For purchased strap, use 450 yards;  670 yards for the felted I-cord strap.

Needles: 24" long circular needle in size 10.5US. Double point needles in size 10.5US

Finished measurements: Base is approximately 7.5"x5". Bag is approximately 8" tall and 11.5" wide across the top.
