Triangle Felted Bags

Both styles for these purses begin with the same rectangular base. The Pleated Handbag has some decreasing on the front and back. Buttonholes at the top allow the I-cord strap to be threaded through and create the pleated sides. The Lady's Handbag is shaped by decreasing in the sides of the bag. Attached I-cord handles complete the purse.

Yarn: Worsted weight wool yarn that will shrink when washed. The Pleated Handbag uses 670 yards; the Lady's Handbag uses 450 yards.

Needles: 24" long circular needle in size 10.5US. Double point needles in size 10.5US

Finished measurements: Pleated Handbag is 8" tall and 9" wide. The base is 10"x5"

The Lady's Handbag is 8.5" wide and 8" tall. The circumference of the base is 22" and the circumference at the top is 17" around.
